CUIndependent Survival Guide
The survival guide was created for the CUIndependent's launch in Fall of 2008. The goal of the survival guide was to offer new students interesting ideas for coming to Boulder, places to eat on and off campus, events to attend and interesting sites around Boulder. We distributed the guide to around 5,000 incoming freshman.
As Editor in Chief for fall of 2008 I had planned, edited and did a majority of the design for the issue.
Included here are several pages I designed including the cover, index, several in-house ads, stories and a photo spread.

Scripps Howard News Service
Dead Wrong: Teaser Video I mixed the music as well as interviews and various B-Roll to complete this. I also filmed the interview with reporter Tom Hargrove (the first voice).
Cash for Clunkers I filmed the second interview and shot some of the B-Roll. The rest of the video was produced by WPTV in Florida.
Cause of Death Timeline I used Flash and Actionscript 3 to create a multimedia presentation that pulled data from an XML file (The causes of death over the century) and put it into a graph. Scroll to the bottom to see the timeline.

ScrippsNews
ScrippsNews is the public-facing site for the Scripps Howard News Service in Washington D.C. SHNS is the Washington bureau for Scripps newspapers and TV stations.
The current site is based in Drupal 6.x and was translated from Drupal 5.x this summer. I also have refreshed its look. I added columnist and staff pages, definitive project pages, and reworked the front page and layout and added Twitter support. This site is live and will continue to evolve over the next couple of months.
CUIndependent.com
This site, codesigned with Kevin Crafts, has been in the making since summer of 2008. On January of 2009 the site officially launched, giving a staff of over 80 reporters, photographers and editors a brand new, standards-based site to host their content.
Design included integrating a series of templates with the Ellington Content Management System.
The current link has iterations of my design, but has since evolved.
Our Community Review - Longmont Times-Call
I created this site as a story and multimedia hub for the Longmont Times-Call's annual magazine, "Our Community Review".
The stories and multimedia were provided by the Times-Call staff (including my story here) and I built and designed the entire site.
The site is constructed using CSS, Javascript and ASP VBScript.
